Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). As a Senior Functional Consultant, Finance, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the implementation, configuration, and support of D365 software for our clients. You act as a strategic liaison between internal business stakeholders and work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and end-users, to ensure the successful deployment of this software within environments. In this key position, you will direct impact and responsibility for large-scale enterprise implementation projects. You will partner with talented colleagues implementing D365 for Finance & Operations based solutions – all the way from scoping through analysis to design and implementation.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead discovery meetings to understand clients’ current business processes
  • Identify systems fits and gaps against user business requirements
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers by outlining findings and recommendations to guide the implementation of the identified solution
  • Create detailed functional design documents for processes not supported by standard D365 F&SCM
  • Provide training and support for end users to ensure smooth adoption
  • Support post go-live activities to prepare operations team for ongoing support
  • Maintain and expand client relationships through delivery of high-quality services
  • Stay curious and lead adoption of the latest D365 Finance features and enhancements including Microsoft Co-Pilot, AI and D365 Agentification

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Dynamics AX/D365 F&O functional implementation experience
  • 7+ years of experience as a finance consultant working directly with AR, GL, AP, fixed assets, cash and bank and various other modules
  • A minimum of 3 full life cycle finance implementations on AX and/or D365 completed
  • Must have a financial background with demonstrated experience and proven knowledge in finance and accounting
  • Experience with data migration, intercompany, multi-legal entities management
  • Previous external client facing experience with all levels of the organization, including senior level leadership
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
  • BA/BS in MIS, Computer Science or Accounting preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively meet deadlines
  • Excellent demonstration and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to provide services to clients

  • Microsoft certifications in Dynamics AX/D365 F&O
  • Experience using DevOps or similar tools to manage requirements
  • Experience with SKGlobal, Avalara or Vertex
  • Project Accounting
