Job Description:

The Sr. Credit Analyst in Commercial and Industrial (C& I) Lending is responsible for assessing and ensuring the creditworthiness of the bank’s commercial clients. They will monitor client financial health, evaluate loan risks, and provide recommendations in line with banking policies and regulatory guidelines. The role focuses on conducting financial analysis, underwriting loan requests, and staying actively involved in credit decision-making to maintain a robust lending portfolio.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collect and evaluate financial statements, borrowing base certificates, and covenant compliance reports from clients. Perform annual reviews and financial performance analyses.
  • Underwrite new loan requests and modifications for existing relationships, including financial statement spreading, cash flow assessments, collateral evaluation, and guarantor support.
  • Assign risk ratings, monitor covenant compliance, and recommend credit facilities that align with established policies.
  • Partner with Senior Credit Analysts, Account Officers, and other team members to meet credit needs. Participate in client meetings and internal discussions, providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, bank credit policies, and internal guidelines.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in C& I Lending
  • Background in C& I and CRE is ideal but definitely larger C& I deals is a MUST
  • Formally Credit trained preferred
  • Deal size $500,000 - 35 million (ideally $1-2M+) the larger the better
  • Loan Vantage is a plus
