Job Description:

We are looking for a Sr Cost Accountant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves the vital task of managing project costs and budgeting within our industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying cost variances, analyzing project performance, and preparing budgets.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct detailed analysis of project performance, focusing on direct, indirect, and overhead costs
Analyze and compare actual expenses against budgeted amounts
Identify cost drivers, trends, and potential risks that could impact the project's financial performance
Provide insights to project operations teams and other key stakeholders
Prepare and monitor budgets for assigned projects, including forecasting future expenses and revenue
Provide monthly Customer Profitability Reporting & Analysis and present results to key stakeholders
Analyze sales and gross margin for assigned projects
Identify opportunities to optimize project costs and improve cost-effectiveness
Use Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Crystal Reports, Epicor, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to perform various accounting functions
Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Auditing, and Budget Processes, and manage Cash Activity

Requirements:

Must possess proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
Familiarity with Crystal Reports is needed
Proficiency in using Epicor software is a must
Knowledge and experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required
Must be well-versed in accounting functions
Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
Prior experience in auditing is required
Familiarity with Budget Processes is a must
Proficiency in managing Cash Activity is needed
