Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Compensation Analyst to support compensation programs and provide data-driven guidance that helps maintain competitive and equitable pay practices. This role partners with HR and business leaders in Indianapolis, Indiana to evaluate market trends, assess pay structures, and contribute to annual compensation planning. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a solid background in compensation benchmarking and survey analysis.

Job Responsibility

  • Analyze compensation data to assess pay competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with business objectives
  • Participate in salary survey submissions and interpret market results to support informed compensation decisions
  • Lead benchmarking activities for key roles by comparing internal positions against external market data
  • Support the annual compensation review cycle, including merit planning, pay adjustments, and related reporting
  • Partner with HR and leadership teams to provide guidance on compensation programs, policies, and pay recommendations
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that summarize compensation trends and workforce insights
  • Review job-related data and organizational changes to help maintain accurate compensation structures and job alignments
  • Contribute to compensation and benefits analysis by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for program improvement

Requirements

  • Proven experience in compensation analysis, including market pricing and pay benchmarking
  • Hands-on knowledge of compensation surveys and the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Experience supporting annual compensation planning processes in a corporate environment
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in spreadsheet-based data analysis
  • Understanding of compensation principles, salary structures, and pay administration practices
  • Ability to communicate complex compensation information clearly to HR partners and business leaders
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential employee information appropriately
