Job Description:

Finance in a Box is an Accounting & Financial Consulting firm based in California, USA. We provide outsourced CFO/Controller services to companies around the world. In addition, we assist companies with building accounting teams. We are seeking a highly communicative and experienced Sr. Collections Specialist to join our growing team supporting US-based clients. This role requires strong command over spoken and written English, proven success in AR collections, and the ability to handle client communication with professionalism and persistence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the collections process by proactively following up with customers via email and phone to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
  • Communicate professionally with US clients and their customers, handling escalations, disputes, and billing queries with clarity and empathy
  • Maintain and analyze the AR aging report to prioritize and track follow-ups on overdue accounts
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and streamline the collections process
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting by providing accurate and timely updates on expected collections
  • Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant client policies and regulatory requirements
  • Suggest process improvements and leverage tools/automations to enhance efficiency

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in Collections specifically for US-based clients
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills – should be confident in engaging with US stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets and Accounting/ERP systems (preferably NetSuite)
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems, automation tools, or workflow tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with SaaS, logistics, or healthcare billing processes is preferred
  • Experience working with US time zones, especially the PST shift
