Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Network Engineers with 10+ years of network engineering experience who have experience implementing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and taking on prem networks and rebuilding them in the cloud, specifically with Google GCP. In this Senior Cloud Network Engineering roles, you will have the opportunity to work for a prestigious company on a very high-impact, visible initiative where you will lead building multiple cloud networks from scratch in GCP, implement IaaS and get to leverage your expertise in automation. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in enterprise routing, switching, and security (including Palo Alto NGFW, IDS/IPS, ZTNA, and SIEM), along with hands-on experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will design scalable, highly available architectures (leaf-spine, VXLAN, EVPN), drive SD-WAN and wireless innovation, and leverage automation and AI to transform network operations. The ideal candidate has a startup mentality or mindset. Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 or more years of network engineering experience, including migrating on-premises networks to cloud environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Deep hands-on expertise with GCP, Azure and landing zone/peer networking and SaaS architectures
  • Startup experience or demonstrated agile/startup mindset
  • Track record in designing secure, scalable SaaS platforms
  • Advanced knowledge in: Enterprise routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Arista)
  • Advanced knowledge in: Network security technologies: Palo Alto NGFW, IDS/IPS, NAC, ZTNA, DLP, SIEM
  • Advanced knowledge in: Cloud networking in AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Advanced knowledge in: Designing Layer 2/3 topologies for high availability and scalability
  • SD-WAN, VPN, hybrid connectivity
  • Advanced knowledge in: Network monitoring and performance tools (SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark)
  • Proven experience leading complex network and security initiatives from inception to deployment
  • Advanced proficiency in cloud-native networking, containers, and orchestration (GKE/Kubernetes)
  • Strong experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager)
  • Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and cost optimization in GCP

Nice to have

  • Experience as a Network Architect within a Fortune 500 company with at least 3 or more data centers, including both on-premises and collocated environments.
  • Strongly desire someone who is currently using AI in their cloud networking role and is passionate about leveraging AI technologies.
  • Familiarity with network virtualization platforms (NSX, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX).
  • Background in high-availability and disaster recovery design.
  • Strong technical expertise with Networking and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles.
  • Strong technical expertise with developing and interpreting Network, Sequence, and Dataflow diagrams.
  • GCP Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Network Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and platform engineering.
  • Background in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation leadership.
