As a Sr. Business Development Representative in Munich, you'll take full commercial ownership of your pipeline, driving revenue growth by bringing small and medium-sized customers onto the Mollie platform. Your work directly expands Mollie's merchant base and contributes to our mission of making finance effortless for businesses across Europe. This isn't a meeting-booking role. You'll own the full sales cycle – from outbound prospecting, handling inbound leads from Partnership and Marketing, and discovery calls through to closing new merchants and handing them off to Customer Success. You'll work in a team of driven, experienced sales professionals and be expected to bring energy, structure, and real commercial instincts to everything you do. Job Responsibility:
Own and grow a pipeline of small and medium-sized businesses from first outreach to live customer
Run high-quality outbound prospecting with a call-first approach – building and managing your own pipeline, not waiting for leads to come to you
Lead discovery calls and commercial conversations that move deals forward with clarity and confidence from inbound and outbound-generated leads
Close new merchants and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth, successful onboarding experience
Contribute to team knowledge sharing – helping raise the bar for the whole BDR team through what you learn in the field
Deliver consistently against targets, with conversion rate, revenue growth, and activities as your key measures of success
Requirements:
Proven outbound sales experience with full ownership of the sales cycle – from prospecting through discovery to close
A track record of hitting and exceeding targets, with at least 1 year of sales closing experience
A call-first prospecting mindset, with at least 50% of your pipeline self-generated through outbound activity
Experience with complex, consultative sales processes and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders through a structured sales cycle
Strong commercial communication skills – you can run a discovery call, handle objections, and close a deal without losing the human touch
Background in tech, SaaS, fintech, or payments is preferred
Fluency in German (written and spoken) is essential for this role
