Job Description:

We are currently seeking a strategic and meticulous Sr. Bookkeeper on behalf of our client in the national van line industry. This is a full-time, permanent leadership position for a professional who thrives in a focused, on-site environment and brings specific industry expertise to a high-performing finance department. If you are a numbers-driven leader who enjoys managing the rhythm of full-cycle accounting while overseeing the precision required for specialized logistics invoicing, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct the accounting workflow, ensuring accuracy in van line invoicing, quarterly billing, and monthly government vehicle invoicing
  • Supervise and process government invoicing specifically for LTS, Air, and Sea shipments
  • Execute and review all aspects of A/R, A/P, General Ledger maintenance, and Journal entries
  • Manage long-distance and local claims while performing and auditing revenue distribution tasks
  • Identify efficiencies in general accounting functions and provide administrative financial leadership to ensure deadlines are met

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7+ years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or 'Team Lead' capacity
  • Previous experience working specifically with a van line is strictly required
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel is required
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a natural ability to mentor staff and work independently
  • High level of integrity, a strong work ethic, and impeccable attention to detail
