Job Description:

Seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer to design and build a modern, enterprise-scale data platform leveraging Microsoft Fabric. This role will focus on transforming transactional data into scalable, analytics-ready models using Lakehouse and Warehouse architectures. This is a hands-on engineering position requiring deep Azure expertise and the ability to operate independently in a high-visibility environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and build end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Spark
  • Architect and implement Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions within OneLake
  • Implement Medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
  • Develop scalable ETL/ELT frameworks supporting batch and incremental data ingestion
  • Optimize performance through partitioning strategies, schema design, file sizing, caching, and query tuning
  • Build analytical data models from transactional systems for enterprise reporting and analytics
  • Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and governance best practices
  • Partner with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data models
  • Provide technical leadership through design reviews and code reviews

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Data Engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Azure data services
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake)
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse
  • Hands-on experience with Spark (PySpark and/or Spark SQL)
  • Advanced SQL expertise (T-SQL and/or ANSI SQL)
  • Experience designing and implementing Delta Lake architectures
  • Proven experience building analytical models from transactional systems
  • Experience implementing Medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
  • Ability to design, build, and optimize production-grade data pipelines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Experience with AWS, Snowflake, or other cloud data platforms
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy
  • Cross-cloud data platform experience
