Full support of the MGI SAP infrastructure. This includes SAP administration responsibilities at both application and operating system level. This also includes SAP security notes analysis, day to day system monitoring and administration. This also includes planning and executing system upgrades in SAP landscape. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the SAP systems environment including the interfacing of database, hardware, and peripherals. The key responsibilities include: SAP system installations and version upgrades, management of the Corrections and Transport Systems (CTS) and Change Management process, support of all aspects of SAP management, support for the Solution Manager Module, SAP performance, and the recommendation of tuning changes to enhance performance. This position is responsible for ensuring maximum system utilization and availability.
Job Responsibility:
Technical Design and Implementation of a Global SAP Implementation
Perform SAP system monitoring and support
Setup and administer SAP print services and queues
Coordinate SAP system performance and capacity planning
Work with the Global Data Center, technical and functional staff as needed
Take the lead on upgrade and maintenance projects to improve information on hardware, data transfer, replication, restoration or other necessary activities
Work closely with business application staff to improve process performance and reliability of production systems
Conduct rigorous performance, reliability and capacity testing on new applications prior to live implementation
Establish documenting and monitoring procedures
Address system issues. This includes resolving and escalating issues to the appropriate group on: system performance, system error logs, work processes, ABAP dumps, workload analysis buffers, database error Logs, etc
Implement technologies and processes to automate system monitoring and performance benchmarking
Oversee daily tasks and develop Basis skills of the Operation Technicians
Training Other Individuals (Basis/Security)
Maintain disaster recovery documentation
Participate in Disaster Recovery Testing
Support and investigate change requests to system functionality
Applying OSS note fixes to programs (when necessary)
System performance monitoring/trouble shooting and improving
Full support of all MGI governance and compliance responsibilities
Coordinate technical requirements for special Projects
Requirements:
6 to 8+ years of SAP Basis experience in a technical position
Hands-on experience with SAP, BW, Solution Manager, and SAP Cloud systems like IBP, Integration Suite and others SAP systems
Operating Systems (IBM System i, Windows, and NT, UNIX)
Excellent writing and oral communication skills, excellent problem resolution skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and good at working in a team environment
NetWeaver experience
Experience on an SAP Implementation teams and also SAP upgrades
Minimum – Bachelor’s Degree in at least one of the following disciplines: Computer Sciences, Engineering or Business
