The Provider Contract Operations team supports initiatives that improve provider contract processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency. This area helps reduce claim rework and supports strategic goals tied to operational excellence and provider experience.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting projects that contribute to strategic imperatives such as Contract Load Accuracy
Assisting with updates to policies and procedures in coordination with Network, Compliance, Legal, and Service Operations teams
Gathering and reviewing feedback to identify opportunities for improving existing contract processes
Helping to track and report on process improvement metrics, such as reductions in claim rework
Providing contract development guidance, reviews, implementation, and ongoing maintenance support
Assisting with the selection of appropriate contract documents and compensation schedules housed in SCM
Requirements:
Meet educational requirements (see education section)
Able to work out of the Hartford, CT office
Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
Bachelor's or equivalent experience required, 2-5 years experience
Anticipated completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program by start date (June 2026)
Have a major in one of the following fields: business, management, healthcare management, finance/accounting, economics, public health, health sciences, leadership studies, marketing, human resources, communications, psychology, or sociology
Nice to have:
Strong communication, customer service, critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
General knowledge of provider compensation methods, coding, and billing (e.g., per diems, case rates, stop loss, revenue codes, DRGs, CPT-4
Experience and knowledge of Strategic Contract Manager (SCM)
Familiarity with Adobe software
