Capital One’s Capital Markets & Analytics - Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team is seeking a highly motivated, talented, and collaborative professional. The Funds Transfer Pricing team is responsible for assigning a cost of funds for virtually all assets and liabilities on the balance sheet. In order to assign a cost of funds, the team works with stakeholders across the Company to create, manage, and implement an effective FTP framework. Through this function the team enables the business lines to make the right marginal product and pricing decisions, facilitates interest rate risk management of the Company, and provides an essential component to each individual line of business’s Profit & Loss (P&L). The associate will work with other teams within Capital Markets & Analytics and additional partner teams within Finance, Technology, and our Business Lines on monthly and weekly FTP processes, as well as assist in leading unique Enterprise initiatives impacting the FTP team. The role requires exceptional problem solving, innovation, analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships across multiple teams to understand business strategies and their implications on FTP and Treasury Profit & Loss (P&L). We expect our analysts to play a critical role in analyzing portfolio-level FTPs, and leverage Enterprise technologies to simplify and automate our infrastructure.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the execution of various FTP production processes for FTP actuals, outlook, stress testing, and marginal guidance processes owned by the team
Develop a solid knowledge of our FTP framework and processes
Prepare and communicate results and recommendations effectively to senior management and business partners
Collaborate across the team and with Business partners to understand new strategies and products and their implications to our production processes
Work closely with business and technology partners to integrate production enhancements
Establish and maintain well-managed processes and integration of process enhancements
establish and document controls around our data usage, in partnership with upstream data teams
Drive process improvements and create new reporting and analysis tools in our existing technology stack, management accounting systems, and visualization tools
Support cross functional enterprise projects that impact our data sourcing and reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis
Nice to have:
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
At least 2 years of banking experience within a treasury function
At least 2 years of experience in asset or liability management
Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Microsoft Excel
