We're recruiting a Sr Accounts Payable Manager for a client seeking a collaborative accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Location: Burbank, CA (Onsite Mon–Thu) Salary: $130,000–$160,000 + bonus
Job Responsibility
Lead all aspects of the Accounts Payable function, including vendor setup, invoice processing, payment execution, tax reporting, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Manage, mentor, and develop the AP team while overseeing daily operations across both domestic and offshore resources
Partner with business leaders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues, improve service levels, and support business needs
Oversee vendor master data, onboarding processes, and internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance
Direct fixed asset accounting activities, including capitalization, depreciation, reconciliations, and personal property tax reporting
Own the monthly AP close process, including accruals, reporting, and support for internal and external audits
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance controls, and implement automation and system improvements in partnership with Finance and IT
Monitor key performance metrics, analyze spending trends, and provide reporting that supports operational and financial decision-making
Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate general ledger reporting and maintain compliance with GAAP and internal control standards
Foster collaboration across the organization while delivering exceptional support to internal stakeholders and external vendors
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including at least 3 years leading or managing a team
Strong knowledge of full-cycle AP operations, including vendor management, payment processing, 1099 reporting, and financial controls
Experience overseeing fixed assets, AP accruals, and supporting audit and compliance activities
Proficiency with ERP systems, AP automation platforms, and advanced Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
Proven ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
Experience managing or collaborating with offshore teams is preferred
Background in a public company or SOX-compliant environment is a plus
Banking or financial services experience is beneficial but not required
