We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting for a growing Tulsa team. This role plays a key part in close activities, account analysis, tax compliance, and performance reporting while partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sound judgment, and a process-improvement mindset to help strengthen financial operations.
Job Responsibility
Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring entries are recorded completely and accurately within established deadlines
Prepare and evaluate detailed balance sheet reconciliations while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and resolving discrepancies promptly
Produce and analyze financial reports, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, before sharing results with management
Assess budget-to-actual performance and communicate key variances, patterns, and business drivers to support decision-making
Manage the preparation, review, and submission of recurring state and local sales and use tax filings across active U.S. jurisdictions
Oversee exemption and resale certificate records and perform periodic reviews of tax-exempt transactions to confirm proper supporting documentation is retained
Work closely with internal departments to improve coordination, accuracy, and the flow of financial information across the organization
Identify opportunities to enhance accounting workflows, refine system usage, and remove inefficiencies that affect productivity
Provide additional accounting and reporting support to the Controller and department leadership as priorities evolve
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline
At least 4 years of accounting experience, including direct involvement in financial statement preparation
Demonstrated experience managing month-end close activities in a detail-focused accounting environment
Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Background in multi-state sales and use tax compliance
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting support, and variance analysis
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams while managing multiple deadlines and priorities
