Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a high-performing finance team. This contract opportunity is ideal for an accounting specialist who can manage month-end activities, maintain financial accuracy, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment. The role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional partners to support global operations, reporting, and compliance needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead key monthly close tasks by preparing, reviewing, and recording journal entries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and complete necessary adjustments to maintain clean financial records
  • Analyze financial data and account activity to identify trends, resolve issues, and support informed decision-making
  • Partner with accounts receivable, accounts payable, compliance, and operational accounting teams to ensure alignment across finance processes
  • Contribute to audits, tax-related activities, and recurring financial reporting by organizing documentation and supporting required deliverables
  • Take ownership of special accounting assignments and project-based work while balancing multiple deadlines effectively
  • Assess existing workflows and recommend practical improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
  • Provide dependable support to team initiatives and collaborate with colleagues to meet shared department goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a finance environment that requires strong attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, and PivotTables
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, variance analysis, and core accounting controls

Nice to have

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • exposure to Navision is a plus
