We are looking for a highly skilled Accountant to join our client's team in the Stanislaus County. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights through detailed financial analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Provide detailed financial analysis and create ad-hoc reports to support decision-making
Perform advanced account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
Support annual audits by gathering necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries
Make corrections and adjustments to financial reports to ensure accuracy and reliability
Collect, review, and analyze historical financial data to support strategic planning and reporting
Investigate and resolve unusual variances in accounting information by tracing discrepancies and reconciling data
Collaborate with internal teams to address accounting-related questions and resolve issues
Take on additional accounting duties as assigned to meet organizational needs
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, demonstrating progressive responsibility
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including budgets, ROI, and Net Operating Return on Assets
Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
