Sr. Accountant

• Manage monthly close activities by preparing and reviewing journal entries, supporting schedules, and related account analysis
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by recording transactions accurately and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure balances are complete, supported, and aligned with financial records
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice review, payment tracking, collections support, and cash application
• Prepare detailed financial schedules and supporting documentation for internal reporting and audit readiness
• Assist with construction accounting tasks, including tracking project-related costs and organizing cost data for reporting purposes
• Use QuickBooks to enter, review, and monitor accounting activity while helping maintain accurate system records
• Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify accounting issues, improve documentation, and support ongoing financial operations

• At least 1 year of accounting experience in a senior-level or progressively responsible accounting role
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks in an accounting environment
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger activity, and journal entry preparation
• Proven ability to complete account reconciliations and bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
• Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities
• Familiarity with construction accounting practices, including construction cost tracking, is strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
