Sr. Accountant

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and review account activity to identify trends, discrepancies, and unusual variances
• Oversee general ledger activity by posting and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring records remain accurate and complete
• Perform account, bank, and subledger reconciliations and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner
• Support internal and external audit activities by organizing schedules, compiling documentation, and responding to information requests
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts through financial analysis, cost review, and reporting that supports business planning
• Help maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal financial controls
• Partner with accounting team members to guide daily work, share best practices, and provide support on complex accounting matters
• Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen reporting accuracy, streamline close activities, and enhance overall efficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in month-end close, general ledger accounting, and preparation of journal entries
• Strong background in account reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures
• Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and applicable accounting principles
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to solve complex accounting issues
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly
• Prior experience mentoring entry-level staff or providing guidance within an accounting team is preferred
