We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a growing manufacturing company in Wenatchee, Washington. In this role, you will support core financial operations, contribute to the close process, and help maintain accurate reporting across multiple accounting areas. This position offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity for promotions. This role is 100% onsite in Wenatchee, Washington.
Job Responsibility
Prepare and post journal entries with a high degree of accuracy while ensuring alignment with established accounting standards and company policies
Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities by organizing schedules, reviewing balances, and supporting timely financial reporting
Oversee fixed asset accounting, including additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and subledger reconciliation
Monitor capital spending and work with operational and finance partners to ensure projects are recorded appropriately and tracked against policy
Record payroll-related accounting activity and reconcile wages, taxes, benefits, and other associated balance sheet accounts
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and clear outstanding items in a timely manner
Assist with audit preparation by assembling documentation, preparing support schedules, and responding to internal and external audit requests
Recommend and implement improvements that enhance accounting workflows, documentation, reporting consistency, and overall efficiency
Participate in system enhancements, organizational initiatives, and other special projects that affect accounting operations and reporting
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3–5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core general ledger accounting practices
Hands-on experience with fixed assets, capital expenditure accounting, and month-end close activities
Proven ability to prepare journal entries and perform detailed account reconciliations, including payroll-related balances
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with large data sets and supporting schedules
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with close attention to accuracy and deadlines
