Sr. Accountant

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a high degree of accuracy and consistency
• Lead key activities tied to the month-end and year-end close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met and records are complete
• Oversee general ledger activity by preparing and reviewing journal entries and validating supporting documentation
• Complete balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, research variances, and resolve outstanding issues promptly
• Administer multi-state sales tax filings and maintain compliance with applicable reporting obligations
• Evaluate financial results, recognize patterns in performance, and share practical recommendations with leadership
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning efforts by supplying reliable accounting data
• Uphold internal controls and accounting policies while ensuring adherence to regulatory and reporting requirements
• Coordinate audit support by assembling schedules, responding to requests, and organizing required documentation
• Recommend workflow enhancements and assist with accounting system improvements or implementation-related activities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, and journal entry preparation
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and accounting compliance standards
• Advanced Excel capabilities with the ability to analyze data efficiently and accurately
• Certification or active progress toward certification is preferred
