Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations in Louisville, Kentucky. This role will oversee critical close activities, maintain the accuracy of financial records, and partner with internal teams on day-to-day accounting matters. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with reconciliations, payables, inventory, and intercompany activity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead monthly close activities by preparing entries, reviewing balances, and helping ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain the general ledger by analyzing transactions, correcting discrepancies, and supporting the integrity of account balances
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and alignment to accounting standards and company policies
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to resolve outstanding items in a timely manner
  • Perform bank reconciliations and follow through on unmatched transactions or cash-related discrepancies
  • Support accounts payable processes by reviewing postings, resolving issues, and helping maintain accurate expense recognition
  • Account for inventory-related transactions and assist with monitoring valuation, movement, and reconciliation of inventory balances
  • Record and reconcile intercompany activity, ensuring transactions are properly reflected across related entities
  • Manage accounting considerations tied to foreign currency activity, including exchange rate impacts and related adjustments

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, including work in a senior-level accounting capacity
  • Demonstrated experience managing month-end close processes and maintaining general ledger accuracy
  • Experience handling intercompany accounting and reconciling transactions across multiple entities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills - verbal and written
