Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support key accounting operations for a Long-term Contract assignment based in Easton, Pennsylvania. This position will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing close activities, and ensuring timely completion of reconciliations and reporting tasks. The position is part of our Full-Time Engagement Professional program, a unique accounting opportunity that allows you to combine the variety of consulting work with the stability and consistent pay of permanent, full-time employment.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead critical activities related to the monthly close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is recorded accurately
  • Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate support, maintaining compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
  • Manage general ledger activity by reviewing balances, researching discrepancies, and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Complete account reconciliations on a recurring basis and investigate variances to support accurate financial reporting
  • Perform bank reconciliations and follow through on outstanding items to maintain clean and reliable cash records
  • Assist with documentation, analysis, and other ad hoc accounting tasks as needed throughout the accounting department

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in senior-level accounting roles with hands-on responsibility for general ledger activities
  • Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures, including preparation and review of journal entries
  • Proven ability to perform detailed account reconciliations and identify the root cause of variances
  • Experience completing bank reconciliations accurately and resolving outstanding reconciling items
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or an equivalent major
