We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires an individual with extensive experience and a detail-oriented approach, along with a strong background in financial reconciliations, month-end closing processes, and familiarity with Yardi software. Job Responsibility:

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and adjustments
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger to ensure all transactions are properly documented
  • Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of Yardi software for financial operations
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and consistency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to accounting systems or financial discrepancies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and industry regulations

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in account reconciliations and general accounting
  • Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and ledger management

  • Expertise in performing bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
