Job Description:

As part of Mirakl Connect, we aim to simplify Sellers’ daily lives by offering a Central Hub to grow their business and manage their operational activities (Catalog, Orders, Customer Messaging, etc.), while leveraging the latest advances in AI. To develop this product, we are looking for a Squad Lead - Java who will be responsible for the design and build of the product, its adoption, and its success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the team (split between Bordeaux, Paris, and remote in France)
  • Lead and mentor the team (4 to 5 developers)
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, mid-year and year-end reviews
  • Track careers and training needs
  • Maintain the team’s smooth operation, cohesion, and motivation
  • Active contribution to development
  • Take ownership of certain stories
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Design, develop, test, and push to production
  • Coordination of technical and functional projects
  • Develop roadmaps with the R&D members
  • Interact with other leads to coordinate priorities and projects
  • Be the point of contact with product and design teams for user story management
  • Ensure the commitments made by the team, both in velocity and in quality
  • Step in on blockers or for arbitration on projects
  • Coaching and development of the team
  • Ensure the upskilling of each member
  • Ensure successful onboarding of new developers
  • Identify and develop talents
  • Contribute to recruitment inside and outside the team
  • Establish best practices in clean code, testing, releases, and pair programming

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in similar roles mentoring a team
  • 5 years of Java development in recent versions
  • Strong technical proficiency in Java, Spring, SQL, cloud, microservices
  • Professional English proficiency (level C1)
  • Management experience with listening and communication skills
  • Ability to balance close management with team autonomy
  • Enjoy staying hands-on with code

Nice to have:

Ideally based at one of our Paris or Bordeaux offices
