Job Description

The SQL Database Administrator (Hybrid) will design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and database objects, troubleshoot performance issues, and support mission-critical applications in a Java/Spring CI environment for a large-scale Federal IT program.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and optimize SQL queries to support reporting needs, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability for business-critical applications
  • Diagnose and resolve database-related problems, including performance bottlenecks, query errors, and connectivity issues, to maintain system reliability
  • Implement tuning strategies for queries and indexes, monitor resource utilization, and ensure optimal performance of application databases

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience writing and tuning SQL queries
  • 3+ years in IT Delivery and Operations experience
  • 3+ years of SQL coding and scripting experience
  • Expertise in optimizing database performance and tuning complex SQL statements
  • Reviewing, implementing design changes, and coding database objects (procedures, functions, packages, triggers)
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle DB administration and related tools
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile framework and experience in large-scale Federal IT programs
  • Active Secret Clearance
