We are looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that cooperates with one of our Norwegian clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and plan SQL Server deployments for scalability and reliability
  • Deploy/design native SQL solutions for cloud environments
  • Maintain and update SQL Server instances, including feature updates and security patches
  • Plan and execute upgrade and migration strategies with minimal downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application operations, networking, virtualization, and security, to deliver integrated solutions
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in SQL Server environments
  • Assist customers with performance optimization and tuning
  • Provide technical support to customers and end-users on database-related issues

Requirements:

  • Expertised in designing, deploying, and maintaining SQL Server environments for scalability, reliability, and security
  • Experienced in implementing native SQL solutions for cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructures, including Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments
  • Proficient in planning and executing upgrade and migration strategies with minimal downtime, ensuring seamless transitions for mission-critical systems
  • Experience with automation tools and processes
  • Adept at troubleshooting complex SQL Server issues, optimizing performance, and tuning queries to meet business requirements
  • MySQL Database Administrator
  • Microsoft AZ-104: Azure Administrator
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent
