Job Description

Delaware North Sportservice is searching for a full-time Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Ensuring the highest levels of service to our guests is our greatest priority. If you can lead hourly staff in the daily performance of their duties and effectively prioritize multiple tasks, you will score a winning career with this team!

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team members, ensuring the venue is adequately stocked with all products and supplies needed for service, and all departmental and organizational policies and procedures are met
  • Assist managers in training and development of the team, and conduct team member-counseling sessions, including corrective action reports
  • Collaborate with the manager concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention, as well as assisting in the management of staffing levels in accordance with budgetary goals and business volume
  • Greet guests positively, professionally, and as an individual, and monitor guests’ and team members’ needs within your assigned area

Requirements

  • One year of related experience
  • Superior organization and guest service abilities
  • Basic math skills and computer skills, including word-processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail
  • Ability to deal with guest complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult situations
  • No college degree required
  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs
  • Standing or walking for the duration of the shift
  • Possible exposure to second-hand smoke and high noise volumes
