Internship with the UFC Sports Science team, which applies data, research, and performance analytics to support athlete training and competition. The department works closely with medical, nutrition, and performance teams to enhance athlete performance, reduce injury risk, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the Sports Science team with athlete monitoring and assessment activities, ensuring accurate and timely data collection
Support the planning, preparation, and calibration of testing equipment and evaluation protocols
Assist with the implementation of monitoring and assessment interventions to support research and performance objectives
Support data processing, database maintenance, and basic data analysis related to athlete performance metrics
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment in accordance with established protocols
Collaborate with other technical performance teams to support sport science initiatives across the organization
Assist with evaluating new sport science technologies and tools to support departmental innovation
Support the Sports Science team on additional projects and initiatives as needed
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree program in a related field such as Sport Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Data Science, or a similar discipline
Strong work ethic with high attention to detail and follow-through
Demonstrated ability to manage, organize, and analyze data in a structured environment
Ability to follow testing protocols and methodological procedures accurately
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while meeting expected outcomes
Strong interest in working with elite athletes, particularly within combat or high-performance sports
Nice to have:
Experience working with athletes in weight-categorized sports is preferred
