Job Description

As a Sports Data Coordinator based in the River North area of Chicago, you'll play a key role in live college sports coverage. For the football season, you’ll monitor real-time data from FBS and FCS College Football games and for the basketball season, you'll monitor real-time data for Division 1 Basketball games ensuring accuracy by comparing data collected by our in-venue Data Collectors with live broadcasts and official box scores. This is a part-time, fast-paced role that’s perfect for sports enthusiasts who thrive under pressure and want a front-row seat to the action — all while gaining hands-on experience in the sports data and analytics field.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor and validate real-time data coming in from college football games
  • Use our proprietary web tools to review and edit game lineups, scores, player stats, and event details before, during, and after games
  • Report live stats as needed
  • Communicate and escalate issues quickly and professionally

Requirements

  • Need to be available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Bring a strong focus on precision, speed, and data integrity to every shift
  • Stay sharp with a working knowledge of NCAA rules, teams, and players
  • Must pass a background check

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with college sports stats, rules and tracking tools
  • An understanding of best practices for live data collection and attention to detail
  • Comfort using Office 365 applications and VoIP communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Slack)

  • Assist in collecting, reviewing, and validating client group accreditation data in line with eligibility criteria and submission timelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with client group contacts to provide guidance on accreditation requirements, processes, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate closely with Client Group Managers to support overall client group readiness and service delivery.
