Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and pro-active Duty Manager to work within our prestigious Sports Centre, to ensure a first-class service for both our pupils and members.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a small team
  • Operate the facility in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are fully adhered to
  • Ensure health and safety of all customers
  • Liaise directly with customers
  • Work with students during weekday term time
  • Work with general public, clubs and organisations during evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Duty Manager
  • Pro-active approach

  • Supervise members of the public in the Swimming Pool and all other allocated Leisure areas
  • Respond in accordance with National Operating Procedures (NOP) and Emergency Action Protocols (EAP)
  • Provide ongoing cleaning throughout the shift
  • Cover absences within the Duty Manager team
  • Assist with the induction, training and mentoring of all leisure staff and work experience placements
  • Assist the Duty Manager by identifying and reporting any technical or health & safety concerns promptly
  • Assist the Duty Manager with monitoring of the buildings pool plant and dosing systems
  • Assist with recording pool water and chemical readings and following set procedures to rectify any irregularities
