Job Description

As a Sports Attendant, you’ll be making sure the building is secure and inspecting our facilities prior to use, ensuring they are set up properly. You will also undertake building checks and health and safety tests and ensuring the environment is clean and safe at all times, reporting any problems to the Manager. A friendly nature and good communication skills are important!

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure all areas and activities are opened, set up, inspected and locked as per the facility programme and in accordance with the daily rota
  • Comply with the Operations Manual, undertake building checks and ensure the appropriate accident and defects reporting procedures are followed
  • Provide a high standard of customer care at all times
  • Present a friendly, efficient and helpful service to the public
  • Undertake cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of designated areas
  • Use appropriate chemicals for cleaning in the correct manner within COSHH regulations
  • Use any machinery provided and ensure it is cleaned and stored in accordance with manufacturer's instructions

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning methods
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety and COSSH regulations
  • A positive outlook and excellent customer service skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working with children and vulnerable persons ideally in a Leisure Centre environment
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team to include working days, evenings, and weekends
