Randstad Student Support are currently seeking dedicated SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties) Tutors for the upcoming academic year at University of Wolverhampton. As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker with Randstad, you will provide learning support and academic guidance. This includes creating an individual learning plan that has been tailored to the student's needs and encourages them to become an independent learner.
Job Responsibility
Provide learning support and academic guidance
create an individual learning plan tailored to the student's needs
encourage students to become independent learners
develop independence
build on strengths and learning strategies
create strategies around organisation and time management
create action plans to stay on track with studies
build on research skills
distinguish appropriate sources and how to correctly use references
build on comprehension skills within reading and writing
take individual student needs into consideration case by case
address any concerns in a timely manner
Requirements
Hold membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)
ability to travel to the university
offer both in person and online sessions flexibly to meet student preferences
act professionally

experience of working with clients with specific learning difficulties
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
