Service Care Solutions is seeking a dedicated Spirometry Nurse to support GP practices in Telford. This contract offers inflated rates and the opportunity to work for a nationally recognised Healthcare organisation. If you are registered on the Spirometry Register and have primary care experience, this Spirometry Nurse role is ideal for you. Job Overview – Spirometry Nurse As a Spirometry Nurse, you will provide essential respiratory assessments and support within primary care settings. Your expertise will aid in diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD, ensuring patients receive the best possible care. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly with a reputable organisation that values your skills and experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Delivering spirometry assessments following ARTP and NHS guidelines
  • Supporting diagnosis and ongoing monitoring of respiratory conditions including asthma and COPD
  • Accurately recording test results and updating patient records
  • Providing patient education and advice on respiratory health management
  • Working collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless care
  • Ensuring all compliance and health & safety protocols are adhered to during assessments

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration
  • Competent and experienced in performing spirometry assessments
  • Listed on the National Spirometry Register
  • Previous experience within primary care or respiratory nursing
  • Available for an initial 2-week contract in Telford, with potential for further bookings

  • Perform medical surveillance and licensing exams, such as pre-employment, fitness for duty, powered industrial equipment, DOT physicals and OSHA required exams
  • Administering the policies of the occupational medical program consistent with the company's general policies concerning health services
  • Utilizing the necessary equipment and supplies necessary to achieve the objectives of the Medical Department and operate within budget guidelines
  • Administering the plant's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
  • Partnering with professional health resources and department supervision to place injured workers into modified/light duty assignments which meet their physical capabilities and promote rehabilitation
  • Interacting with on-site and community physicians, nurses and physical therapists to promote employee health and wellness
  • Stay updated on knowledge of federal, state and local laws/regulations and other best practices applicable to occupational health
  • Collaborates with Safety Team and Risk Management by participating in Global Safety & Health Audit process, and instructing employees in ergonomic and safety education
  • Implements company provided wellness programs and additionally employee health and wellness programs addressing the unique health risks and demographics of the site
