Job Description:

Baruch Senior Ministries, a nonprofit organization, is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to join our team as a part-time Spiritual Care Chaplain. Baruch Senior Ministries assisted living communities offer supportive care and specialized care in a home-like environment with a range of care covering minimal assistance to care for the frail and elderly.

Job Responsibility:

  • Meeting the ongoing religious and spiritual needs of residents, their families, and staff
  • providing direct pastoral care
  • community engagement
  • recruiting various spiritual care partners to serve the residents in their homes
  • providing adequate and appropriate transitioning and grief support to staff, residents, and their families
  • planning and leading memorial/funeral services as needed/requested

Requirements:

  • Master of Divinity or equivalent preferred
  • bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, social work or related field required
  • at least two years experience in pastoral care ministry working with the elderly
  • a minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent experience (Board Certification preferred)
  • member in good standing in respective religious community
  • solid standing in the Church through ecclesiastical endorsement
  • ability to minister to individuals with differing beliefs, as well as varied physical and mental abilities/conditions
