An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Spinal Consultant to join our Victorian Spinal Cord Service. Hours per week: 17.5 hours per week average. Employment Status: Fixed-term Part time. Appointment Period: 5 years commencing June 2026.

Requirements:

  • Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Hold Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (RACP)
  • Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Rehabilitation and Spinal Medicine
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training and research.

  • Responds to code and trauma activations in the ED and on the hospital campus
  • Provides patient transportation within the Emergency Department and on the hospital campus
