Job Description:

Workshop Recruitment are looking for a spider crane operator for our high-end residential construction client specialising in premium refurbishments, bespoke builds, and complex access projects. This role involves operating a Hinowa Lightlift spider boom (33.17m – 32.60m) on a prestigious residential project where precision, safety, and professionalism are essential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safely operate a Hinowa Lightlift 33.17m – 32.60m spider boom on a high-end residential site
  • Carry out lifting and access operations in restricted access and sensitive environments
  • Work closely with site managers, supervisors and other trades to ensure lifts are completed safely and efficiently
  • Conduct daily pre-use inspections and maintenance checks on equipment
  • Ensure all operations comply with health & safety regulations and lifting procedures
  • Maintain high standards of care when working around finished surfaces and luxury properties

Requirements:

  • Must hold an IPAF 1B – Essential
  • Valid certification to operate a Hinowa Lightlift spider boom (33.17m / 32.60m)
  • Relevant IPAF / CPCS / NPORS certification
  • Proven experience operating spider cranes or tracked boom lifts
  • Experience working on high-end residential or sensitive sites
  • Strong understanding of safe lifting operations and site safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a professional site team
  • Experience working with luxury residential contractors
  • Full UK driving licence

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in tight access environments
  • Banksman / slinger training
  • First Aid or additional site safety qualifications
