Job Description

This position is responsible for providing speech-language pathology services to a pediatric population, from neonate to adolescent, including evaluation and treatment in the areas of communication and swallowing.

Job Responsibility

  • Evaluates and treats patients with communication and swallowing disorders/delays
  • Establishes appropriate treatment plan with age-appropriate goals and target timeframes
  • Maintains appropriate documentation per the Policies & Procedures Manual in compliance with JCAHO and CARF standards
  • Builds and maintains rapport within the department, hospital, and community
  • Evaluates recommended needs for equipment and supplies
  • Assists in the monitoring of speech pathology students
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested

Requirements

  • Masters Degree (or higher) in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • AZ Department of Health Services license (must be obtained prior to start date)
  • AZ Department of public safety fingerprint clearance card (must be obtained prior to start date)
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • ASHA certification or in clinical fellowship year (CFY)
