ESY SLPs are responsible for maintenance of IEP qualified goals during the ESY period. ESY SLPs are also required to attend the two days of training and all 15 student contact days; plan and deliver lessons based on IEP qualified goals. Team effectively with colleagues, the site coordinator and parents; supervise children during breakfast, snack and transitions.
Job Responsibility:
Provide services to students with a wide range of strengths and disabilities and cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Collaborate with and train other professionals and parents to facilitate students' academic, communication, and social skills
Develop goals, accomodations, present levels, and service delivery statements within Individualized Education Plan (IEPs)
Complete documentation as required by federal, state, and local agencies including progress reports and EzEdMed medicaid billing
Create and foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Create and support a culture of equity and inclusion
Develop positive relationships with parents/families
Exhibit a growth mindset through participation in high quality professional learning
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Currently hold a CDE Special Services Provider license or have licensure application in process with a School Speech Language Pathologist endorsement
Master's Degree
Must have a valid CPI certification or will have certification by 5/27/26
Completed and submitted BVSD online application
Nice to have:
Knowledge and experience with a variety of age levels, ability levels, and intervention methodologies, including working with students on the autism spectrum
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, however a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) could be accommodated
