As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will be a vital clinician, expertly assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to significantly improve patient quality of life.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for all referred patients
Contribute clinical expertise to develop/upgrade treatment programs/protocols
Actively shape departmental and organizational goals
Performs evaluations/re-evaluations, discharge summaries progressing patients toward goals and accurately documents results written/electronically on inpatients/outpatients and home environment
Performs appropriate treatment which may include, but not limited to proper use of diagnostic, modalities and therapeutic procedures to maximize functional skills toward independence
Maintains a safe environment considering the patient's unique circumstances and risk factors related to age, physical limitations and mental status
Uses office or other Rehab equipment effectively & efficiently
Requirements:
Masters Other Completed all accredited education requirements to be in possession of a valid license & in good standing with ASHA, enabling them to practice as an Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Nevada., upon hire
Entry level accepted., upon hire
Speech Language Pathologist: NV, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology, within 12 - months
Nice to have:
Masters Other Completed post graduate education, or possesses certification or CEU's in Acute care, geriatrics, head & neck cancer, voice, swallow & MBS studies, pediatrics, NICU & neurology or any other clinically relevant coursework/seminars., upon hire
1-3 years 1 year of hospital based, acute care practice, upon hire.
