Job Description:

Provide therapy and evaluation services in accordance with best practices as defined by licensing board and governing agencies.

Job Responsibility:

Provide therapy and evaluation services in accordance with best practices
Plans and administers medically prescribed therapy and evaluation services
Facilitates development of essential skills necessary to promote independence across all environments
Reviews social history, psychological, medical, and previous therapy reports/records
Meet with individual and/or parent/guardian to discuss and establish needs
Administers appropriate tests and evaluates to determine functional level and potential
Communicates information to team participants and provides input for treatment plan development
Makes referral or recommendation for therapy and/or equipment
Develops treatment plan from physician's orders and evaluation results
Conducts individual and/or group sessions within the clinic site to work on specific goals objectives
Communicates individual’s program and program changes to team members for consistency and reinforcement throughout all service disciplines
Modifies treatment and equipment, when necessary, in response to development and progress within present goals and objectives
Completes paperwork and other documentation as required by the program, licensing agencies, and funding sources
Utilizes evidence-based methods to address challenging behavior
Accountable for maintaining 75% efficiency of direct therapy services
Trains and disseminates information to individual and/or parent/guardian regarding treatment programs, home programming, and follow-through
May provide, as requested, in-service to peers or other disciplines on specific treatment protocols and/or techniques
Supervision of speech-therapy assistant and/or practicum students
While performing the duties of this job, employee will comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to Easter Seals Arkansas
Employee has access to all client protected health information of the individuals directly served by this person, except psychotherapy notes

Requirements:

Degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited four-year college or university
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Arkansas
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Knowledge of best practices and interdisciplinary programming
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals at diverse levels
Demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness
Ability to independently prioritize and plan work activities
Ability to problem-solve independently or in a group setting
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Google
Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
