Master’s degree or equivalent education in speech-language pathology
5 years of speech-language pathology experience
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

Job Responsibility

Evaluates and treats patients with neurogenic speech language/swallowing impairment
Recommends diets, and performs modified barium swallow studies/FEES when indicated
Provides patients, families and caregivers with ongoing counseling
Performs timely re-examinations and modifies goals and treatment interventions accordingly
Participates in discharge planning
Orders treatment materials as appropriate
Institutes speech pathology inservice training programs
Attends all appropriate conferences, rounds, in-services and meetings
Maintains accurate patient treatment and attendance statistics
Participates in program development
