Speech and Language Therapist – Leeds

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in designing and developing engaging, evidence based online learning materials, including video content, case studies, and interactive resources
  • Facilitate live online and face-to-face training sessions, supporting professionals in enhancing their skills in speech, language, and communication interventions
  • Work alongside the Sales/Marketing Manager, Clinical Leads, and the wider team to align course offerings with market needs and ensure a seamless learning experience
  • Provide expert advice and support to professionals accessing Chatterbug Academy, responding to queries, and facilitating discussions where needed
  • Contribute to the ongoing review and refinement of training materials based on participant feedback, ensuring content remains up to date and impactful
  • Support promotional efforts by contributing to social media, webinars, and events showcasing Chatterbug Academys offerings
  • Work with the Sales Team to demonstrate the value of Chatterbug Academys courses, supporting schools and organisations in choosing the right training packages
  • Create, review, and enhance learning materials to ensure they are neuroaffirming and inclusive, incorporating up-to-date research and best practices in neurodiversity
  • Work closely with the marketing team to proofread and refine course materials, ensuring consistency and clarity in messaging
  • Provide clinical expertise and insights to support the Sales Manager in positioning Chatterbug Academys offerings effectively for schools, organisations, and professionals
  • Demonstrate confidence in neuroaffirming practice and contribute to the development of training materials that reflect neuroinclusive approaches

Requirements:

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC and RCSLT registration
  • Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, preferably with experience in professional development or training
  • Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication interventions, with an ability to translate clinical expertise into engaging learning materials
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with experience delivering training online and in person
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and clinical teams
  • Confidence in using digital platforms and online learning tools
  • Strong understanding of neuroaffirming practice and a commitment to embedding this approach in content and training
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload across multiple projects

Nice to have:

  • Experience in content development for online learning
  • Experience working with education professionals and schools
  • Understanding of market trends in professional development for SLTs and educators

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex disabilities focusing on enhancing their communication and functional abilities and participation in daily activities
  • Working with Person In Charge and frontline staff to develop accessible materials for information and social stories purposes
  • Demonstrates exemplary clinical skills in SLT assessment intervention and diagnostics to meet the specific needs of children and young people with a range of disabilities including physical, sensory, autism, etc
  • Provide a speech and language therapy service to include communication assessment, diagnostics and intervention, and ongoing service delivery to children and adults with a range of disabilities
  • Develop individualised treatment support plans based on evidence-based practices
  • For referred individuals evaluate swallowing function, provide strategies for safe and effective eating and drinking, lead onward specialist referrals in FEDS area and other medical conditions affecting swallowing
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team other MDT members in an interdisciplinary model and support the Regional Directors to provide holistic care
  • Engage with families and care giving staff to provide education and support regarding their child’s supported individual communication needs
  • Participate in service development initiatives and quality improvement projects
  • Provide education, training, and support to team members providing care to empower them to facilitate the development of the people we support
