Job Description:

Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join an autism specialist school in Carshalton. The role involves supporting children and young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex communication needs within an educational setting. You will provide specialist assessment and intervention, including the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems to support communication and engagement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a specialist ASD caseload within a school setting
  • Complete speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Assess and implement AAC systems and communication strategies
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, families, and the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working within paediatric speech and language therapy, ideally within ASD settings
  • Experience using AAC systems and supporting complex communication needs
  • Ability to work independently within educational settings
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
