The postholder will deliver high-quality, evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy services tailored to our clients’ needs, working across a range of settings. You will contribute to the assessment and diagnosis of children and young people with a variety of Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), while providing professional support to students, apprentices, and SLT Assistants. The role also requires active involvement in the wider development of Chatterbug. This includes representing the organisation at local and national levels and working flexibly across locations. This is a dynamic role within a growing social enterprise; you will contribute to service development and organisational initiatives alongside your core clinical work.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, develop, and deliver effective, evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy services across private clinic, school, and community-based settings
Contribute to high standards of professional practice and safe service delivery
Contribute to the assessment and diagnosis of children and young people with a variety of Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Provide professional support to students, apprentices, and SLT Assistants
Represent the organisation at local and national levels
Work flexibly across locations
Contribute to service development and organisational initiatives alongside core clinical work
Requirements:
Experience working with children and young people with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs
Experience working within education, clinic, or community settings (or equivalent)
Strong clinical reasoning and caseload management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
HCPC registration
Membership of RCSLT (or willingness to maintain)
Professional, reliable, and confident in your practice
Take ownership of your work, open to feedback, and motivated to develop your skills
