This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist within the team to further their experience within the adult field to cover a maternity leave. This post would provide a valuable opportunity to develop and consolidate your skills in a variety of adult acquired conditions across a variety of settings.
Job Responsibility:
Provide appropriate assessment, diagnosis and intervention to people referred to the SLT service for adults with acquired difficulties in swallowing and / or communication
Be an autonomous practitioner with responsibility and accountability for own caseload
Assess and analyse type, severity and impact of all conditions of speech, language, communication and / or swallowing impairments
Independently select and use psychometric assessments and analyse and interpret results
Use a high level of sensory skills to carry out core clinical work
Requirements:
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent qualification)
Licence to practice from Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists
Registration with Health Professions Council
Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
Significant clinical experience
Developing a high level of specialist knowledge and clinical skills in their specialist area
