Job Description

Band 5/6/7 Speech and Language Therapist to work on a locum basis in the East Midlands. This is a split-site school-based role across a Primary and Secondary setting. You will be working 3 days per week in a Secondary School and 2 days per week in a Primary School. The setting provides a small, supportive environment with a strong focus on personalised care and individualised therapy planning.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs including neurodiversity (including autism), learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Work closely with the clinical team to develop and deliver tailored interventions based on student need, with caseloads varying accordingly

Requirements

  • HCPC registration
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Previous NHS or education-based experience
  • Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy experience
  • Experience working with complex needs, including autism and learning disabilities
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently
  • Strong communication and MDT working skills
