Job Description:

A fantastic school based in the Borough of Merton is searching for a confident and considerate Speech and Language assistant to work closely with pupils that struggle with communication and require support. The role is full-time, providing the opportunity to work in the education sector, gain experience, and collaborate with Speech and Language specialists.

Job Responsibility:

Provide constant care and support to students who need specific support with speech and language
to be the first port of call to students who have SEN
create and plan specific speech and language programs, tailored to each individual pupil's educational needs
work closely with industry professionals to fully understand each pupils specific requirements
work in both a group and 1:1 setting

Requirements:

SEN/SEMH experience
passion for supporting SEN children
some experience working with SEN and/or tutoring
experience working with Speech and Language needs is very desirable

thinking on their feet and outside the box
