The administration team is an integral part of Sheffield Diagnostic Genetics Service providing support which is essential to the provision of an excellent service to the department and to our patients.
Job Responsibility:
Dealing with the post, telephone calls & emails
Data-input
Several other tasks
Specimen reception duties (approx. 40% of position)
Dealing with specimens as per the job description
Entering patient data onto data bases used by the department
Requirements:
GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
Familiarity with MS office or similar
Experience of working within an office environment
Good communication and organisational skills
Comfortable handling specimens
Good team member with the confidence to work independently
Ability to handle confidential material in an appropriate manner
