The Specimen Management Central & Eastern Europe Business Director is responsible for leading and developing BD's Specimen Management business across the region, driving strategic growth, market share expansion, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for the SM portfolio within the region
Achieve and exceed sales targets, profitability objectives, and market share goals for the SM business across all CEE countries
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sales, marketing, and support professionals across the C&EE region
Drive market access initiatives, including engaging with KOL's, government bodies, and healthcare organizations to promote BD's SM solutions
Oversee the successful launch and lifecycle management of new Specimen Management products and solutions in the C&EE region
Manage the regional Specimen Management budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners throughout the CEE region
Ensure all business activities align with relevant local and international regulations, company policies, and ethical standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field
Extensive experience in commercial roles within the medical device, diagnostics, or life sciences industry, with relevant senior leadership experience at a business director level
Consistent track record of successfully leading and growing a business across multiple countries, ideally within the C&EE region
Deep understanding of the Specimen Management market, including product portfolios, customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements
Shown leadership skills, capable of motivating, and developing diverse, cross-cultural teams
Excellent financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
Willingness to travel extensively across the Central & Eastern European region (approximately 50-70%)
Nice to have:
An MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred
Proficiency in one or more Central Eastern European languages (e.g., Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Russian) is a significant advantage
