Job Responsibility:

  • Be the liaison to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals
  • Deliver on the commitment to patients
  • Act as the primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager
  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products to medical professionals
  • Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by implementing and delivering branded sales messages strategies
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts
  • Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis
  • Develop territory plans with the District Manager
  • Have passion for our products and sustain that passion through the entire sales cycle
  • Partner with other colleagues to share best practices
  • Leverage passion for disease state awareness, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience (for Specialty Representative)
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related (for Senior Specialty Representative)
  • Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry
  • Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases
  • Local market knowledge
  • Established relationships in the territory
  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
