Job Responsibility:
Be the liaison to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals
Deliver on the commitment to patients
Act as the primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager
Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products to medical professionals
Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by implementing and delivering branded sales messages strategies
Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts
Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis
Develop territory plans with the District Manager
Have passion for our products and sustain that passion through the entire sales cycle
Partner with other colleagues to share best practices
Leverage passion for disease state awareness, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience (for Specialty Representative)
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related (for Senior Specialty Representative)
Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry
Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases
Local market knowledge
Established relationships in the territory
A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
